Splashup – Online Image Creation/Editing Tool
You’re on the road and you don’t have your laptop. A friend calls to warn you a photo you uploaded has someone doing **insert something ridiculous here** in the background. The nearest computer is a cyber cafe, and the nearest thing to Photoshop is Microsoft Paint. Thankfully, Splashup came up with a solution.
The easiest way to describe Splashup is an online version of Photoshop (Lite).
Splashup looks and edits similar to Photoshop, but lacks some advanced features (vanishing point, a couple layer effects, fonts, etc.). Though it lacks those advanced features, it does contain layers, gradients, and the shapes tool to help you get started. Create a new image from scratch or upload your own from your computer. When you’re done, simply save it to your computer or any major image sharing website.
Certainly no replacement for Photoshop, but comes in handy when you really need it.

I agree. Sometimes when I’m on the road and a client needs some image or update to a site, having this online tool in the “cloud” is very handy indeed. In fact, it’s become an essential part of my backup tool arsenal. Definitely good to know of when you’re in a bind. Good find.

I hear you. This past week was move-in at school and they just got the internet back online (just in time for my computer to, yes, crash). Computer is back, but CS3 is gone for the time being.
Though I was unable to update the website, I was able to find some apps. Get ready. Here they come in one big bunch.
